The French Broad Raft Race
The race that got this whole thing started! Our Annual FBRF Raft Race is the the biggest, mass start, whitewater raft race in the southeast. The race begins in Barnard, North Carolina and ends at the festival in beautiful Hot Springs, NC. During the 9 mile race, you will experience Class 1-4 whitewater excitement, as well as bumping boats, crazy people, and a lot of heckling. It's always a good time!
Tickets are available through our site in advance. These include a spot in a raft for the raft race with a guide plus everything the normal ticket offers. You won't find a deal like this at any other festival! If you have your own boat, registration is free with your general admission festival ticket.
Racers will meet in front of the main stage at the festival on Saturday at 9am. If you buy tickets online, you will still need to register upon arrival to the fest. See you there! If you don't want to race, but would still like to get on the water, check out the our friends at French Broad Raft Company who are also hosting the race!
The Mountain Bike Race
The Annual French Broad River Festival Mountain Bike Race, will take place Saturday. Meet at the Flood Stage for registration at 9am sharp. There are registration fees for non-festival participants (amount coming soon), and it's free for folks attending the festival. There will be prizes for the top finishers. Please plan to arrive at 9 am for pre-race registration and route information.
